‘Time’ is made out of a clock hand that was left behind in the family chest of drawers. A trip to Bruun Rasmussen uncovered the clock hand’s history – Northern Europe, mid-eighteenth century. The pattern is typical of the era. It is not incredibly fine, probably more upper working class in its origin.
The clock hand’s decoration has been split up and then put together again. In the best possible post-modern style. The individual pieces have been converted into earrings, bracelets and chains, which seem both recognizable and logical. The result is a sophisticated jewellery collection with a touch of nostalgia.
